Leader of the Kurdish Democratic Party Masoud Barzani met with Russia’s Consul General in Erbil, Maxim Rubin, on August 13. Their talks addressed Iraq’s political dynamics, relations between the KRG and Baghdad, and the ongoing cabinet formation process. Both parties also underlined the need to deepen relations between the Kurdistan Region and Russia.
