Forbes – America’s Allies Often Misbehave When They Know They’re Needed

Forbes contributor Melik Kaylan has posted an article discussing how the US is often compelled to ignore the faults of its allies. According to Kaylan, this is particularly true of Iraqi Kurdistan’s ruling Barzani family, who continue to receive support from the West despite alleged evidence of widespread corruption and human rights issues. Kaylan also notes that foreign investors continue to face mistreatment at the hands of the Barzani family.The dispute faced by Sirwan Barzani’s company Korek Telecom is illustrated as a case in point.
