Kurdistan Times – Barzani’s Misplaced Hope for Dismissal of Kurdistan Victims Fund Case

Following the recent lawsuit filed against Masrour Barzani and other members of his family alleging complicity in a litany of crimes, US academic Michael Rubin has published an op-ed arguing that Masrour Barzani’s belief in diplomatic immunity and attempts to evade legal consequences are misguided. Rubin’s op-ed, originally published in the Kurdistan Times, also characterises Masrour’s recent visit to Washington DC as primarily focused on meeting with his lawyers, rather than diplomatic engagement.
