A KRG delegation will attend the 27th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum from 5-8 June, Kurdistan 24 has reported. Russian President Vladimir Putin and several other Russian and foreign officials are expected to be present, alongside Kamal Muslim Saeed, Minister of Trade and Industry for the KRG. The KRG’s attendance comes despite apparently warm relations between the US and the KRG, with United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently hailing the US and Kurdistan’s “partnership that is cemented first and foremost in shared values, [and] shared interests.”
