The Kurdistan Regional Government’s office in the US has handed a $110,000 per year contract to a consultant to “communicate and liaise with congresspersons”, according to a disclosure filing. Lindsey Queen, a 35-year-old who describes herself as a “congressional affairs specialist” and “DC Altruist”, is not thought to have any prior experience with Middle Eastern or Kurdish affairs. The Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) filing, submitted on November 9th 2024, states that she’ll be employed on a full-time basis to “communicate and liaise with Congresspersons, staff and committees concerning issues of interest to the KRG.”
In January 2024, Queen registered a company named Parlay Strategies in Washington DC. The company describes itself as “a service-driven boutique consultancy offering public and private funding solutions for local governments and nonprofit organizations”. It has not made any corporate filings since its incorporation.
