Rudaw – Russia seeks expansion of economic ties with Iraq, Kurdistan Region: Consul

Russia is looking to expand its economic actvity in Kurdistan, the country’s Consul General to Erbil Maxim Rubin has told Rudaw. “We are open to expanding Russian-Iraqi cooperation in all fields, and are ready to expand our relations and cooperation in Iraq and the Kurdistan Region”, Rubin said. The comments come following a recent meeting between him and KRG President Nechirvan Barzani’s Chief of Staff Fawzi Franso Hariri.
